Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful time at our friend's party last night, and a quiet day today. Our 20-year-old son reported back from Fredericksburg’s “Midnight Celebration” that there was some sort of lantern held aloft by a cherrypicker, and at the stroke of midnight, the lantern was lit. Nothing dropped, and by his account, it was not particularly dramatic. I can’t give a personal review, but he pronounced it “lame.” If you were there, let me know if you agree or disagree.

Here’s wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2008. And remember: there’s a lot of stuff to do out there. Go do something!
